No, ThumbSnap doesn't require an account to download thumbnails. Our service is completely free to use without registration.
ThumbSnap works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of your browser.
Troubleshooting
This error occurs when ThumbSnap can't recognize the URL you entered as a valid YouTube video URL. Make sure:
- You're copying the full URL from YouTube (should start with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=)
- The video is publicly available (not private or unlisted)
- You haven't made any typos in the URL
If the thumbnail isn't downloading when you click the button:
- Check your browser's pop-up blocker settings (you may need to allow downloads from our site)
- Try right-clicking the download button and selecting "Save link as..."
- Try using a different browser
Not all videos have all thumbnail resolutions available. The maximum resolution (4K) is only available if the creator uploaded a custom thumbnail in that resolution. Older videos may only have lower resolution thumbnails available.
